One-Stop Enrollment Day set for Nov. 16
Oct 18, 2024Come join us on Saturday, Nov. 16 for One-Stop Enrollment, a special event for students to receive assistance with enrollment for the spring semester… and pizza!
Most students are able to get all paperwork done in one day to start classes in January.
Attendees will be able to:
- Apply for admission to RCC
- Register for classes
- Get help with your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application
- Receive Next NC Scholarship guidance
- Receive academic advising
The Next NC Scholarship starts this fall, and provides at least $3,000 to community college students in North Carolina whose families make less than $80,000, among other minor eligibility requirements. The money can be used toward tuition, fees and books, and living expenses like food and housing. It does not have to be paid back. Students just need to submit a FAFSA form. If they are eligible, they will receive the Next NC Scholarship.
And if that’s not incentive enough, we invite you to our pizza palooza! All students and their parents and families who complete the steps to enrollment are welcome to enjoy tacos.
And furthermore, there will be raffle drawing for some RCC swag!
To get an accurate count for lunch, please let us know on the sign-up form how many family members will join you on Nov. 16 for enrollment and FAFSA completion:
The event will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Whitcomb Student Center, 484 County Home Road, Wentworth.
To ensure accelerated enrollment, please bring the following:
- An official copy of your high school/GED transcript, or if you are a recent North Carolina high school graduate, your lunch number. By requesting a transcript from CFNC and providing us with your lunch number we will be able to download your transcript from CFNC. This is needed for placement into the correct math and English course. If you are a returning student, we most likely have your transcript on file. Feel free to contact us at the number below to ask about your transcripts.
- If you are under the age of 24, please bring a parent or have a parent accessible by phone. Parental information is needed to complete residency and the FAFSA.
If you have any questions, please contact the RCC Admissions Office at 336-342-4261 ext. 2333.
